Rope ends are matched to the post — gold ends on gold and black posts, silver ends on polished chrome. Gold and black posts share the same nine gold-end colours; polished chrome takes the three silver-end colours.

Rope vs belt — which do you need?
Both hold a line; they set a completely different tone.
Rope stanchions are the formal option — a post at each end with a velvet rope draped between them. The rope hangs in a visible curve, and that curve is what makes an entrance read as an occasion rather than a queue. Best for galas, award nights, weddings, VIP entrances and red-carpet arrivals.
Belt stanchions are quicker to reconfigure and safer in a busy line — the belt retracts flat into the post, so there is nothing to trip over and nothing to unclip. Best for registration and check-in lines, conferences, trade shows and festival gates.

How many rope stanchions you need
Plan on about 4 ft between posts — a little tighter than the 5 ft rope, so the velvet keeps its drape instead of pulling straight. A straight run always needs one more post than ropes, so a 40 ft queue works out to roughly 10 ropes and 11 posts.
Add a post at every corner, and one or two spares if the layout might still change on site.

Which rope colours work with which post?
Gold and black posts carry the full range — red, black, white, dark green, pink, navy, blue, green and purple. Polished chrome posts are stocked with red, navy and black. If you have a colour in mind, tell us and we will confirm the pairing before you book.
Can I mix posts or rope colours in one order?
Yes. Ropes clip on with a carabiner, so any stocked rope goes onto any post it is listed with. Most setups keep one post colour throughout and change rope colour by area — red along the carpet, black through back-of-house, for example.
How far apart do rope stanchions sit?
Plan on 4 ft between posts. The velvet rope itself is 5 ft, and setting the posts a little closer is what lets it hang in a natural drape rather than being pulled taut — that curve is the whole point of a rope line. Four feet is the number to count with.
Can rope stanchions be used outdoors?
Yes — outdoor use is routine for us. Outdoor arrivals carpets, festival entrances, outdoor activations and photo areas are among the most common setups we deliver. They just need flat, firm ground so the posts stand true and the rope hangs evenly.
Do you deliver, set up and collect afterwards?
Delivery across the GTA starts at $150 and covers collection after the event as well. Having our crew place and dress the ropes is an optional add-on; the posts also carry easily and clip together without tools if you would rather set them yourself.
