Why choose the green runner
Green gets chosen for a reason, not by default. Most of the time that reason is a brand: a logo, a bottle, a set of team colours or a campaign palette that a red runner would fight. Laying the arrivals route in the brand colour is one of the cheapest ways to make an activation look designed rather than assembled, and it shows up in every photo taken at the entrance.
